State Bank of Vietnam announced today that effective October 1st, Credit Institutions, including commercial banks, are not allowed to pay corporate and individual clients more than 6% pa on VND demand deposits and fixed deposits (with tenor up to one month).

In line with changes in the market conditions on interest rates, we will amend the deposit interest rates of our customers effective October 1st 2011.
